The University of Texas at Arlington will be on the international stage for a gathering of experts who aim to address the challenges facing the global pharmaceutical industry.
UTA is a proud partner of this fall’s Pharma Logistics Masterclass, scheduled for Sept. 30-Oct. 3. Founded by Pharma.Aero, which specializes in the safe transportation of medicines from manufacturing plants to the patients who need them, the Masterclass aims to examine today’s pharmaceutical logistics issues by connecting pharmaceutical and supply chain professionals to academics and students alike.
“UTA’s involvement underscores our role in regional development and our commitment to addressing local and global logistical challenges in the pharmaceutical industry,” said Gabriela Wilson, co-director of UTA’s Multi-Interprofessional Center for Health Informatics. “Through our participation in this strategic partnership with Pharma.Aero, DFW Airport, the University of North Texas, and the University of Antwerp, we continue to contribute to our long-term academic and research excellence goals while having a global impact.”
This is the fourth edition of the multiday conference and the first to be held in North America. UTA will host a portion of the Oct. 2 events on campus, with a focus on artificial intelligence and how it is transforming the pharmaceutical industry, especially within logistics and supply chain management.
"I am thrilled to announce our upcoming Pharma Logistics Masterclass in the vibrant and strategic hub of Dallas-Fort Worth. By convening in this dynamic region, we aim to bring together industry leaders, innovators, experts and scientists to explore cutting-edge solutions, foster collaboration and address the challenges shaping the future of pharma logistics,” said Roel Gevaers, professor of logistics and supply chain innovation at the University of Antwerp and chair of the Pharma Logistics Masterclass.
