Dallas Grato Named Men's Basketball Head Athletic Trainer
ARLINGTON, Texas – Dallas Grato has joined the UT Arlington men's basketball staff as the program's head athletic trainer.
Grato comes to UTA, where he will be responsible for leading the daily healthcare of UTA men's basketball student-athletes, following a stint at the University of Virginia, where he spent 2023 with the men's and women's squash and tennis programs. Grato also worked with Virginia's football program during his time in Charlottesville.
The Rowlett, Texas, native has experience with Virginia, at Texas primarily with the Longhorns' football and men's basketball programs, as well as the Texas men's and women's tennis teams, rowing, track and field and cross country programs, and was a summer intern with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League in 2022.
Grato earned his Bachelor's of Science at the University of Texas at Austin in Athletic Training in 2023 and his Master's of Science at Concordia University Chicago in Applied Exercise Science in 2024. He is a BOC Certified athletic trainer (ATC), a Texas Licensed athletic trainer (LAT), is CPR/AED certified and mental health first aid certified. Grato is a proud member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA), the Southwest Athletic Trainer's Association (SWATA) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
