This mind and body class utilizes yoga movements to improve your flexibility, posture, strength, and balance. The yoga class will bring attention and focus to your breath while you continuously flow from one posture to the next. 

UTA Special Collections will have a mini-exhibit on display showcasing items in the collection relating to infamous homicides and serial killers in Texas history. Special Collections invites the UTA community to learn more and view the mini-exhibit during the Central Library's open hours, September 3-September 28. The exhibit is just outside the doors of Special Collections in the Atrium, on the Central Library's sixth floor.Visitors should be aware that this exhibit discusses violent crimes and acts of bodily harm. It is presented with factual information to contextualize part of Texas' history. This exhibit includes content that may have outdated language or may be graphic or disturbing in nature. September is Hunger Action Month, and Maverick Pantry is hosting a donation drive now through Friday, Sept. 27, at three locations: outside of the Maverick Pantry, the University Center, and Arlington Hall. Maverick Pantry is in need of pasta, rice, and instant meals.

Paper Trails is a three-person exhibition featuring artists Cecelia Feld (Dallas), Jessica Drenk (Rush, NY) and Rachel Livedalen (Fort Worth). The exhibition curated by Gallery Director Dr. AugustJordan Davis and Visual Resources Curator Lilia Kudelia focuses on how each artist engages with the materiality of paper and books in their artworks, often to unexpected ends. Appropriation, layering, collage, and repurposing of texts, pages, and paper feature across the selected collages, prints, paintings, digital media, and installations forming Paper Trails.Cecelia Feld creates brightly colored abstract collages and monotype prints using a variety of materials including photographs, magazines, and her own handmade Japanese marbled papers. Jessica Drenk recycles books, carboard and junk mail to create 3-D sculptures and sculptural wall pieces that appear made of natural materials such as wood and stone. Rachel Livedalen produces paintings, prints, and artist books that juxtapose art historical references with "girl power" iconography to comment on representations of femininity.

This 45-minute class is a full body workout that will leave you feeling strong and powerful. There will be various stations that you will move through which will target different muscles of your body, building strength, and cardiovascular endurance. The class is limited to 10 participants. 

Stength Training is a great class that will use a variety of equipment that will tone and strengthen your entire body. This class will have you sweating hard and feeling accomplished.
