Former UTA Standout Shemar Wilson Signs with Real Valladolid in Spain

VALLADOLID, Spain – Former UT Arlington men's basketball standout Shemar Wilson has signed a professional contract with UEMC Real Valladolid in Spain and will compete in the Primera FEB.
 
Wilson's new club is based in Castile and León, which is in the Northwest part of Spain and is coached by Lolo Encinas.
 
Wilson started all 34 games for the Mavericks last season, averaging 12.1 points per game to go along with 7.7 rebounds per contest, 1.3 assists per game and 2.1 blocks per game. The Avondale, Arizona, native spent three seasons in Arlington, spanning 84 appearances for the Mavs with career averages of 9.6 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and totaled 96 blocks and 43 steals.
