PAWLEY'S ISLAND, South Carolina – Ethan Miller led the way for UT Arlington, shooting a one-under 71 during round two of the Golfweek Fall Challenge from True Blue Golf Club in Pawley's Island, South Carolina, on Monday.
UT Arlington's team score was 18 strokes better than it was on a rain-soaked Sunday in round one, as the Mavs posted a 10-over 298.
"It looked like they settled down a bit today," head coach Logan Goulding said following play on Monday. "It's still not where we want to be, but it was nice to see Ethan get our first round under par of the season. Hoping for a low team round tomorrow to finish on a high note."
Miller improved by 11 shots from his Sunday performance and was a big part of UTA's much-improved play as a team on Monday. The Austin native was very steady on the day, recording three birdies (on Nos. 11, 14 and 15), while shooting par on 14 occasions.
Sophomore Michael Chevalier also saw a strong turnaround from how he played Sunday, improving by 10 shots with a two-over 74 on Monday. The Grapevine, Texas, native also birdied on three occasions, on Nos. 4, 12 and 13, respectively.
UT Arlington is back in action on Monday morning with the third and final round, and the Mavs are scheduled to tee off at 7:52 a.m. CT. Follow along with live scoring here, courtesy of GolfStat.
