Beck, Miller Lead UTA in Final Round of Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, South Carolina – UT Arlington's men's golf team shot its best round of the tournament during the third and final round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge from True Blue Golf Club in Pawley's Island, South Carolina, on Tuesday, besting the Mavs' round two score by five strokes (293). 
 
Junior Cameron Beck fired a tournament-best round of two-under par (70) for the Mavericks, while graduate student Ethan Miller had his second consecutive strong performance, carding an even-par 72 on Tuesday.
  
Beck was very steady on the day, recording an eagle on the par-5 ninth hole, while also posting a birdie on No. 14. Aside from one bogey on the par-5 10th hole, Beck totaled 15 pars on the day.
 
Miller finished with a total score of 225 as the highest-ranked UTA finisher, following his one-under 71 on Monday. Miller birdied on four occasions during the final round, doing so on Nos. 3, 6, 8 and 15, respectively, while also turning in 11 pars on the day.

UT Arlington is back in action next week with their second tournament of the fall in Manhattan, Kansas at the K-State Wildcat Invitational on Monday, Sept. 16, and Tuesday, Sept. 17.
