UTA Women's Golf Announces Fall Slate

ARLINGTON – The UT Arlington women's golf program prepares to return to action as head coach Catherine Matranga announced the 2024 fall schedule Wednesday.

"I am very excited for this year," shared Matranga. "We have a great lineup of events starting with our home tournament in just a few weeks and I'm looking forward to seeing our Maverick fans out supporting our student-athletes."

For the first time since fall of 2018, UTA will kick off the new school year with its very own Maverick Classic beginning Sept. 16 at Tierra Verde Golf Course in Arlington.

Fall 2024 Schedule:
Sept. 16-17: Maverick Classic – Arlington, Texas (Tierra Verde GC)
Sept. 23-24: Bearkat Invitational – Huntsville, Texas (Bearkat GC)
Oct. 14-15: Lady Red Wolves Classic – Jonesboro, Ark. (Sage Meadows CC)
Oct. 20-22: Diamante Intercollegiate – Hot Springs Village, Ark. (Diamante CC)

Following the fall opener, UTA will get right back on the course one week later to compete in Sam Houston's two-day Bearkat Invitational that is scheduled to begin Sept. 23. This will be the fifth time the Mavericks will take part in the tournament as the program tabbed a top-3 finish last season.

After a three-week break from competition, the Mavericks will begin October action with Arkansas State's Lady Red Wolves Classic before rounding out the fall with Little Rock's three-day Diamante Intercollegiate that is scheduled for Oct. 20-22 from Diamante Country Club.

The spring schedule will be announced at a later time.
