INSIDE THE SCORES
Manikandesh
- Manikandesh produced a 1st-round 73 as her card featured three bogeys, 13 pars and two birdies. The junior was one of three Mavericks who put up multiple birdies throughout the round.
- The junior shaved off three strokes from Monday's opening round as she recorded her first under-par outing of the year with a 70. Manikandesh's card was nearly flawless aside from one bogey which came on hole 4. The round was highlighted by a trio of birdies which came from holes 6, 15 and 16.
Bhoga
- The freshman made her collegiate debut, turning in an opening-round 74. Bhoga shot -1 through her first 10 holes (18-9) as a birdie on 8 highlighted her hot start. The Texas product went on to record three bogeys over the last eight holes, leading to a round of 2+.
- Bhoga matched Manikandesh's 2nd-round 70 as the freshman shared a team-high of four birdies. Despite recording just one double on 14, Bhoga's momentum carried her to the under-par round.
Gabel
- The junior kicked off Maverick Classic action with a par on 1 as she went on to produce a 37 (+1) on the front nine. Unfortunately, Gabel's momentum derailed after putting up a bogey and closing-double which led her to a round of 76. However, Gabel was able to roll a pair of birdies which came on holes 8 and 10.
- Gabel settled in nicely, producing a 37 (+1) on the front side and 34 (-2) on the back side which guided her to a 2nd-round 71. The Texas native recorded four birdies across the round which came on holes 2, 8, 12 and 13.
Gulhane
- Gulhane's play remained consistent through the entirety of the round as she logged a 1st-round 72. The sophomore's card consisted of just two bogeys,14 pars and two birdies.
- Gulhane struggled to gain any momentum after playing the opening-nine +3. Following back-to-back bogeys on 12 and 13, the sophomore parred four of the final five holes with a closing birdie. Therefore, the Cedar Park, Texas product settled for a round of 76.
