Mavs Fall To #23 TCU

FORT WORTH - The UT Arlington volleyball team lost its first match of the season against #23 TCU (11-25, 17-25, 12-25) in the opening match of the Horned Frog Invitational this Tuesday. 

In the match, a trio of Mavericks recorded eight kills in the loss in Cansu Günaydin, Sjakkie Donkers and Brianna Ford
 
Mollie Blank had 23 assists, making it her tenth straight game of at least 23 assists or more. Samantha Glenn led the team in digs with 10 on the night.
 
Ava Burroughs and Blank each picked up two total blocks in the match.
 
THOUGHTS FROM COACH
"Good test against a ranked opponent" said head coach J.T. Wenger. "We didn't come out like we had planned but we had some flashes of solid play."
 
NEXT UP
The Mavericks continue the Horned Frog Invitational on Friday, Sep. 20 for a match against the Owls of Rice.
