PHOENIX - The UT Arlington volleyball team begins conference play with a matchup against the Lopes of Grand Canyon at GCU Arena tomorrow at 8 p.m. CT.
The Mavs are off to a 10-2 start, including eight sweeps, and have the best record in the Western Athletic Conference after the non-conference portion of the season.
MATCH NOTES
- Paige Reagor holds a hitting percentage of .403 which leads the Western Athletic Conference. She also ranks 39th in the nation.
- Brianna Ford leads the conference in kills per set with a mark of 4.46, which also ranks 17th in the NCAA. Ford also leads the conference in points per set with a 5.22 clip, which ranks her 12th in the nation. Ford, who has 174 kills so far this season, currently sits sixth all-time in program history with 1459 kills.
- Mollie Blank ranks second in the conference in assists per set with a strong mark of 10.23, which also ranks 30th in the country. Blank currently ranks 10th in the program record book with 2,782 assists throughout her career.
- As a team, the Mavericks lead the conference in hitting percentage (.251), assists per set (12.41) and kills per set (13.41).
- The Mavericks are one of 27 teams remaining in the country with at least 10 wins.
