UT Arlington aerospace engineering major Austen Smith brought home the bronze medal on Sunday in skeet shooting in the 2024 Paris Olympics at the Chateauroux Shooting Center. On Monday, she won her second medal, this time silver, in mixed team skeet shooting with her coach and teammate Vincent Hancock.

To secure the bronze, the Keller, Texas, native hit a total of 45 targets. Highlights from her performance are available here, while her medal presentation can be seen here, both courtesy of NBC Sports.

"I am elated. I am over the moon and loving every moment of it," said Smith of her bronze medal performance. "Just to have an Olympic medal is my dream."

During the gold medal match for the mixed team event, Smith and Hancock came up just one target short, falling 45-44 to Italy's Diana Bacosi and Gabriele Rossetti and taking home silver. This marked the Olympic debut for the event. A full breakdown of the results can be seen here.
