The Pilates Method is a full-body conditioning program that develops deep abdominal and back strength, together with increased flexibility and ease of movement.  This class is aimed at “core stability,” designed to work on lengthening muscles to help tone and strengthen muscles, using breathing to enhance relaxation.  

Each Enrichment Hour experience will be unique.Attendees will enjoy relevant, engaging lectures and musical performances of all types.Enrichment Hour will be held in FA258, located in the South Section of the Fine Arts Building.The doors will open approximately 30 minutes before the performance time.Parking is available in the West Campus Garage, and ADA parking is available at the meters on Nedderman Drive in front of Texas Hall. Come to this month's Food for Thought to learn tips and tricks to help you keep you on track with your diet and lifestyle.Stacie Ellis is the Registered Dietitian at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she provides nutrition consultations and education for the students and staff on campus. Dr. Ellis is the proud owner of EXCELLIS Nutrition, a company geared towards performance nutrition, weight management, disordered eating, and medical nutrition therapy. Stacie serves as a consulting dietitian for Wellness Concepts, Health Fairs Direct, and American Health Assessments. She recently received her Doctoral degree in Nutrition with a minor in Kinesiology at Texas Woman's University. Her dissertation involved comparing a high-carbohydrate, low-fat diet to a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet on performance in dancers. She has been interviewed with Women’s Health Magazine, The Oak Cliff Documentary, and Texas Metro News, and she also completed the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management Program on June 4-6, 2015

Students, staff, and faculty are invited to join the Department of Global Engagement in this workshop on developing intercultural skills and adopting a global perspective in the workplace. Participants will learn about different intercultural frameworks, gain insight on the impact of cultural differences in- and outside of the classroom, and identify ways to create learning spaces that are accessible to a wide range of students. Brace yourself for an electrifying workout experience that blends the power-packed moves of kickboxing. Every session is a thrilling combination of strength, agility, and cardiovascular training designed to keep you at the top of your game. This 30-minute cardio session class will be quick, fun, and will have you jabbing and kicking up a nice sweat!   

This mind and body class utilizes yoga movements to improve your flexibility, posture, strength, and balance. The class will bring attention and focus to your breath while you flow from one posture to the next. 

This 45-minute class is a full body workout that will have you feeling strong and powerful. There will be various stations that you will move through which will target different muscles of your body, build strength and cardiovascular endurance. The class has a 10 participant limit.

This dynamic workout will target major muscle groups, enhance strength, and tone with a mix of challenging exercises designed to leave you empowered and energized.

Performance Cycle 45 is 45 minutes of HIIT cycle class that will challenge your cardio fitness. With group work, fast flats, and heavy climbs, this class is designed to take your performance to the next level. A towel and water bottle are required.  

Join us for an exhilarating evening of rhythm, energy, and musical creativity at the University of Texas at Arlington's Percussion Ensemble Concert! This captivating event promises to deliver a unique auditory experience that will leave you mesmerized and tapping your feet. The UTA Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Andrew Eldridge, is one of the key components of the percussion curriculum at UTA.The performance will be held in Irons Recital Hall, FA105, located in the South Section of the Fine Arts Building.The doors will open approximately 30 minutes before the performance time.Be aware that no food or drink, aside from bottled water, is allowed in the recital hall.Parking is available in the West Campus Garage, and ADA parking is available at the meters on Nedderman Drive in front of Texas Hall.
